Participant Projects. The work involved in infusing Asian content into the undergraduate curriculum can take many forms: developing new courses and discrete
curriculum modules that can be slotted into existing courses;
developing institutional plans for Asian studies certificate, minor or
major programs; crafting an annotated bibliography; or embarking on new
research. Each participant is expected to engage in this work in the
ways most useful to them and to expanding and enhancing Asian studies
offerings at their college or university.
Participants
should arrive with a project in mind and will have an opportunity early
in the program to share and receive feedback on their project plans in a meeting with the Institute
director(s) and other participants with similar disciplinary or
thematic interests. The final two sessions of the program are devoted to
sharing project drafts, which will then be made available through this
website.
